EDUCATIONAL VISIT AT TV TOWER PITAMPURA DELHI

Industry interface enables students to analyze and understand the ever changing dynamics of the industry. An industrial and educational visit for the exposure of practical knowledge of B.Tech.(I.T.) 3rd  semester students, suggested by Prof.(Dr.) Neelam Sharma, Director, MAIT, was organized by IT Department under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) M. L. Sharma, HOD, IT on Saturday, 19th October, 2019. The purpose of this technical industrial visit to High Power Transmission, TV Tower, Pitampura, Delhi, was to make the students aware of the functioning of TV transmission. A group of 41 students of B.Tech.(IT)  participated in this technical visit.

Pitampura TV Tower is a 235-metre (771 ft)-tall television tower, built in 1988, with an observation deck that is located in the northwest of New Delhi, India. It is the 15th tallest structure in India, and the tallest structure in Delhi. Dilli Haat Pitampura is also situated near the TV tower. The Tower was dedicated to the Nation as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar TV Tower 10th  April 1992 by the Hon’ble Sh. Ajeet Kumar Panja Minister for The State of Information & Broadcasting.

 

Prof. (Dr.) M. L. Sharma , Er. Vibhor Sharma, Assistant Professor and Er. Vandana Choudhary, Assistant Professor were the main coordinators of the visit. The students of B.Tech.(I.T.) 3rdth semester are indeed grateful to Prof.(Dr.) M. L. Goyal, Vice-Chairman MATES and whole management for facilitating this technical trip.
