The NSUT Sports Committee organised "Agastya 22", the first All Delhi Government Inter-University Sports Tournament during 11-13th March 2022 after a gap of three years and it was a huge success. Eight colleges under the Delhi government (NSUT, DTU, IGDTUW, GGSIPU, DSEU, IIITD, DPSRU and BRAC) sent their teams to compete in various tournaments viz - Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Table tennis, Chess, Volleyball, and Kabaddi, for men and women.
Many Students from all affiliated colleges of GGSIPU took part in various sports. We appreciate the staff and student body whose constant efforts and hard work made this event a success. In all 8 events, both Men & Women, teams of GGSIPU played well and won 1 Bronze medal in Basketball Men and 4 Gold medals in Table Tennis Men, Kabaddi Women, Football Women, Badminton Women.
Students of MAIT showed active participation in all events. Satyam Gupta from IT 2nd year and Aaryan Goyal from BBA 3rd year were part of the Men Table Tennis team. They won their games as (against):
- DSEU(A) 3-0
- In Quater final
- DTU(B) 3-1
- Semi-finals NSUT(B) 3-1
- Final DTU(A) 3-0
The event concluded with a flag lowering ceremony, presided over by Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastava, DGP Mizoram.
The Alliance extends its heartiest congratulations to all the winners and participants alike.
