One day International webinar on “Journey to Success” was organised by the Department of Information Technology & Department of Information Technology and Engineering on 12th March, 2022. The objective of the workshop was to have an interactive session for the MAIT students with their seniors so that they can imbibe the professional ethics from them for their better future.

The event started at 12.00 Noon. Saraswati vandana was played in online mode to pay tributes to the Goddess of knowledge mother Saraswati. This was followed by brief address by the Head of the Department, IT Prof. (Dr.) M.L. Sharma. Prof. Sharma welcomed the thre speakers who were also alumni of IT Department, MAIT. He informed the audience that Dr. N K Garg, Founder and Chief Advisor, MATES could not attend the event due to his prior commitments. Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Sharma, Director, MAIT and Prof. (Dr.) S S Deswal, Dean Acads, MAIT also could not make it to the event. They all conveyed their best wishes to the speakers and the organizers.

After the address by the HoD, Dr. K C Tripathi, convener of the event was invited to coordinate the technical sessions and the questions and answers round. The sessions were organized as a talk show rather than speeches. The speakers interacted with the students impromptu.

Mr Sumit Khanna was the first speaker of the event. In his candid style he informed the students about his MAIT days. The greatest take away from his talk was his key concept that “attitude, not aptitude is key ingredient for altitude”. In his talk of about 15 minutes he touched various subjects like how his student life was, his internship and his placement. He answered all the questions put up by the students.

Mr. Vishal Pandey was the second speaker of the event. He had joined from USA. The participants were greatly moved by this gesture of his towards his alma mater. He informed the student that today is the right time for a great career ahead as the economy is booming for IT sector. The key take away from his talk was that students must build up resources right from the beginning. The resources could be their teachers, seniors or internship mentors. He was excited to take up the questions of the students. 

Mr. Gaurav Arora was the third speaker of the event. The key take away from his talk was that talent can be showcased from anywhere and anytime. He outlined the concepts of payment gateways and UPIs and answered all queries of the students.

All the thre speakers expressed their gratitude to MAIT faculty, staff and administration for shaping up their career. Few questions were taken up in the end also.

Vote of thanks was given by Mr Bhaskar Kapoor who also coordinated the event. Ms Nidhi Sengar and Ms Vasudha Bahl took care of technical issues. The session ended with thanks to the Head of the IT Department. A total of 116 participants attended the event.
