Department of Information Technology successfully organized a One Day Hands on Workshop on “Data Science using Python” in association with APTRON Solutions Pvt Limited, Noida on Saturday, 22th February 2020. Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Sharma, Director and Dr. M.L Sharma ,HOD (IT) addressed the gathering and explained the necessity of such Hands on Workshop by sharing their valuable views.Mr Varun Goel, Dr.Sunil Maggu and Dr.Anu Rathee coordinated this workshop which was attended by 4th semester students of IT Department.
Mr. Aditya Kumar Hajela a Data Scientist (Ethical Hacker) from Aptron Solutions conducted the session. An Information Technology expert and a passionate trainer and workshop speaker having 6+ years of professional experience in Software Development, Research & Development, Technical Training, Project Management, and worked as Senior Software Engineer in MNC’s HCL, WIPRO Technologies Ltd. The session proved to be very helpful for faculty and students alike. Workshop started with the brief explanation of python programming and its applications in web development, apps creation, machine learning, data sciences, game designing. He emphasized on learning python language basics such as statements declaration, iterative statements , language libraries etc. He discussed about machine learning types such as supervised or unsupervised learning approaches. He told about different machine learning algorithms like linear regression, logistic regression, k-means, KNN, hybrid etc.
Over 60 students & faculty members have participated with great enthusiasm and were also awarded with the Participation Certificates by Prof. (Dr.) M.L. Sharma, (HOD IT), MAIT. All the students and faculty members are extremely grateful to the Management for conduction of this workshop. The workshop was very interactive and students showed keen interest in learning. The speaker was open to questions and shared his experiences of latest trends and technologies, thereby making the session more interactive & informative.
