Since its inception in the year, 2001 the Department of Information Technology has come a long way. We have progressed continuously and thrived to attain the goal envisioned in the “Vision and Mission” document. Department has an intake of 180 students and well qualified faculty members.

Students from all over the country are imparted quality education with a vision to serve the nation with high standards of professional and interpersonal skills. 

The department is committed to maintain the quality of education by way of university curriculum, internal and external competition, organizing hackathons, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, industry visits, internships and industry-academia interactions. We have a strong mentor-mentee relation by way of which every student can share his grievances with their experienced faculty mentors. Regular parents-faculty interactions are organized for bi-directional communication. We have a strong feed-back mechanism to enhance the quality of overall academic and curricular activities. We have a well planned teaching-learning process in place to enhance the learning of students as well as quality of faculty members.

Over the years the students of IT Department of MAIT have brought recognition to the department as well as to the institute by way of excellent placement, higher education, entrepreneurship and start-ups. The excellent placement record makes the IT department of MAIT a preferred destination for students.
